The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) is pleased to accredit your continuing nursing education program an ANCC-accredited Nursing Skills Competency Program. It is an achievement that attests to your organization’s commitment to nurses. We hope that you will proudly display the ANCC Accredited Program certification mark (logo). These guidelines will help you to use the logo properly. Please feel free to contact ANCC with any questions.
The ANCC Accredited Program certification mark (logo) may only be used by programs granted accreditation through the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Nursing Skills Competency Program.
The ANCC Accredited Program name and logos are valuable American Nurses Credentialing Center assets, and like any assets with appreciable value, they must be properly used and protected. The meaning and benefits of ANCC Accreditation should be presented in a way that demonstrates and builds value. ANCC strives to protect the distinction and significance of achieving ANCC Accreditation for all designees. The correct and consistent usage of and reference to ANCC Accreditation will assist ANCC in achieving this goal.
ANCC will conduct random compliance checks for proper usage of these logo usage rules and may request to see any materials using the ANCC Accredited Program logo at any time.
Using the ANCC Accredited Program logo:
ANCC Accredited Programs have the right to utilize the certification mark, in accordance with the guidelines provided in this document, on letterhead, brochures, and for publicity activities relating to the continuing nursing education program.
Other than in relation to the accreditation of the Nursing Skills Competency Program, the ANCC Accredited Program logo should not be used in conjunction with any goods, products, or other services created, offered or sold by the designated organization that would create the appearance of an endorsement by the Program or by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and its Nursing Skills Competency Program.
The logos should only be used in a manner that represents the intent of the American Nurses Credentialing Center and its Nursing Skills Competency Program. ANCC expects that representatives of its ANCC Accredited Programs will follow established standards of professional practice and ethics in business, advertising, public relations, sales, and marketing when using the logos.
The ANCC Accredited Program certification mark is a legally trademarked symbol and must be used in accordance with these rules:

All lettering inside the logo must be readable when the symbol is used on |

materials. If the words are not legible, please increase the size of the logo. |

The logo cannot be altered or modified. It may be resized, provided the |
| |
|
proportions of the entire logo are maintained and all features of the logo are clearly distinguishable. |

The logo shall be reproduced: |

In a size which makes all features of the mark clearly distinguishable |

The ANCC Accredited Organization logo cannot be used in isolation from the |

designated organization's logo. All materials must contain both the designated organization's logo and the ANCC Accredited Organization logo. |

(i.e. websites), the same rules as stated in these guidelines apply. |

Logos used on an ANCC Accredited Organization website must include |

Using ANCC Accreditation in Text

ANCC Accredited Organization is a trademarked name.

All references to the program name must use the TM symbol |

(superscript) in the first mention. This includes references in both headlines and regular text.

The American Nurses Credentialing Center "grants" an organization |

ANCC Accreditation, thereby giving that organization "status" as an ANCC Accredited Organization. |

ANCC uses the terms honored, received, achieved, and/or bestowed |

to describe the designation. Do not describe ANCC Accreditation as an “award.”

ANCC Accreditation should always use a capital letter A.

- |
Please do not use ANCC Accreditation as a description or an action. |

It is the name of the program and should be used as such.

ANCC reserves all rights in its trademarks. ANCC reserves the right to change the guidelines herein, and/or cancel use at any time. Any organization failing to strictly adhere to these guidelines shall have their right to use terminated immediately. In addition, the ANCC Accreditation Program reserves the right to terminate its recognition of an organization as ANCC Accredited should an organization violate or continue to violate these guidelines in a manner that may jeopardize the integrity of ANCC's trademarks, or program, as defined solely by ANCC.
